Definition of Blister Packaging Technology
A blister box is a type of plastic packaging product manufactured using thermoplastic sheets (such as PET, PVC, PS, PP, etc.) as raw materials. The process involves heating the sheet to a softened state and then employing a vacuum forming technique—either through vacuum suction or applied pressure against a mold—to cause the sheet to conform to the contours of the mold cavity. Upon cooling and solidification, a box-like structure is formed. Blister boxes typically consist of a lid and a base tray; they are available in various styles—including card-insert blister boxes, two-piece “heaven-and-earth” lid-and-base boxes, and bi-fold blister boxes—and can undergo subsequent processes such as die-cutting, welding, and edge-folding to achieve the required structural configuration and mechanical strength.
The advantages of this technology lie in its high molding precision and its suitability for mass production. It allows for the realization of complex structures and custom-shaped designs tailored to specific client requirements, while the surface can be treated—depending on the intended application—with finishes such as frosting, printing, or anti-static coatings.

Types of Blister Boxes
Standard Blister Packs: Commonly found in sectors such as daily necessities, electronic accessories, and hardware tools.

Blister Box with Lid: The box body and lid can be either separable or integrally molded; designed for repeated opening, it facilitates convenient storage.
Multi-Compartment Blister Tray: Features multiple internal dividers, facilitating the side-by-side placement of multiple products or accessories.

Custom-Shaped Blister Packs: Designed to match unique product contours, enabling personalized packaging displays.
